What POTRATE 5MG is used for?

  • It is indicated for the management of renal tubular acidosis (RTA) with calcium stones, hypocitraturic calcium oxalate nephrolithiasis of any etiology and uric acid lithiasis with or without calcium stones

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
  • Ask your doctor for advice before giving this medicine to your children
[DRIVINGMACHINES]

Tell your doctor if you are taking,

  • potassium-sparing diuretics (triamterene, spironolactone or amiloride) 
  • Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
  • Swallow the medicines with water

If you take more POTRATE 5MG

  • If you think that you or anyone else may have taken too many medicines, contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital immediately

If you forget to take POTRATE 5MG

  • If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Then continue your management as before. Don't take a double dose to make up for a missed dose

If you stop taking POTRATE 5MG

  • Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells you to do so
