Introduction About METROLYN GEL
METROLYN GEL contains Metronidazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Antiprotozoal drugs. It helps to control infection and inflammation in certain skin problems, such as rosacea (skin redness and flushing with or without small red pus-filled pustules on the skin) and acne. It is also helpful in the management of wound infections, diabetic foot ulcers and vaginal infections.
METROLYN GEL is for external use only. Cleanse and dry the affected areas before applying the medicine. Do not expose the managed areas in direct sunlight. Wear protective clothing and consult your doctor for a suitable sunscreen while going outdoors.
Before using METROLYN GEL, inform your doctor if you are suffering from any kind of blood disorders (Ex. blood dyscrasias) or neurological disorders (such as nerve damage). You must also inform your doctor if you suffer from any allergic skin conditions (such as contact dermatitis) as a precaution.
Do not use METROLYN GEL without consulting your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The most common side effects of using METROLYN GEL are skin dryness, redness, itching and/or irritation at the site of application. Consult your doctor if any of these side effect bothers you.
