It is used to manage anaemia (deficiency of iron and haemoglobin). Anaemia is a condition that occurs when the number of healthy red blood cells in your body is too low.

Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking this medicine. FERROCHELATE XT NEW TABLET is not recommended for use if you have hemosiderosis, hemochromatosis (iron overload), hemolytic anaemias, gastrointestinal ulcers, or are receiving repeated blood transfusions.

Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have or had epilepsy, cirrhosis or other liver disease, kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis), hemolytic anemia, pernicious anemia, anemia that has not been diagnosed by a doctor and confirmed with laboratory testing, an infection, or alcoholism.
