Introduction About DIOFER XT SUSPENSION
DIOFER XT SUSPENSION contains Ferrous ascorbate and Folic acid which belongs to the group of medicines called Hematinics. It is used to manage iron deficiency anaemia during pregnancy, lactation, post-surgery, haemodialysis or blood loss during periods.
Anemia is when your body can't produce enough of haemoglobin (a substance in red blood cells that enables them to carry oxygen), due to insufficient iron. Avoid consuming alcohol while taking DIOFER XT SUSPENSION.
DIOFER XT SUSPENSION is not recommended for use if you have iron overload disorders, haemoglobinopathies, inflammatory bowel disease or an active stomach ulcer. Before taking DIOFER XT SUSPENSION, inform your doctor if you have erythropoietic protoporphyria, diabetes, high blood pressure or any kidney or liver issues.
DIOFER XT SUSPENSION should be used in pregnancy only if clearly needed. Safety and efficacy of DIOFER XT SUSPENSION in children have not been established so, consult your child’s doctor for advice.
The most common side effects of taking DIOFER XT SUSPENSION are stomach upset, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, dark stools, stomach pain and temporary staining of teeth. If any of the symptoms worsen, call your doctor.
