Introduction About AUXERG CREAM

AUXERG CREAM contains Oxiconazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Antifungal agents. It is used in the topical management of fungal skin infections (such as athlete’s foot, Jock itch, ringworm infection, pityriasis versicolor (small, discoloured patches on the skin)).

AUXERG CREAM is for external use only. Take the required quantity of the medicine and apply to the affected skin areas. Do not cover the affected areas after applying this medicine.

Use AUXERG CREAM for the stipulated duration instructed by your physician to achieve better results. Failing to do so may not result in adequate infection control. Also, inform your doctor if you don’t see any improvement in your condition after 2-4 weeks of therapy.

Before using AUXERG CREAM inform your doctor if you are allergic to oxiconazole. You must also inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as a precaution.

The most common side-effects of using AUXERG CREAM are irritation, burning sensation and/or redness at the site of application. Contact your doctor if it troubles you.

AUXERG CREAM is an antifungal medication. It effectively controls fungal infections of the skin. It disrupts the fungal cell membrane by blocking the production of certain chemicals (ergosterol) within the cell which is required for its survival. As a result, it stops the fungal cell from multiplication, thereby managing the further spread of infection.

How to use AUXERG CREAM

AUXERG CREAM is for external use only. Take the required quantity of the medicine and apply to the affected skin areas.

Avoid contact of this medicine with your eyes, ears, nose or any other mucous membranes. Do not cover the affected area after applying this medicine.

Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending on your age, body weight and severity of the infection. Do not stop using AUXERG CREAM without consulting your doctor.

How To Manage Side Effects

Application Site Reactions:

Place an icepack on the affected skin areas to ease the irritation. Avoid using harsh chemicals or soaps on the affected areas. Wear protective loose-fitting clothes while going outdoors. Regularly moisturize your skin. Avoid exposing your skin towards direct sunlight. If the condition did not improve, contact your doctor.
