What is AUTRIN?
AUTRIN contains Iron, Vitamin B9 (folic acid), Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) is indicated:
- for the prevention and management of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia (IDA)
- as a dietary supplement for iron
What AUTRIN is used for?
AUTRIN contains the below mentioned components, which have the following uses:
Iron:
- Iron, an essential mineral, is in the circulating red blood cell mass in hemoglobin, the major factor in oxygen transport and is necessary for effective erythropoiesis
Cyanocobalamin, Folic Acid:
- Together, they enhance the synthesis of red blood cells, function in DNA synthesis and help to lower elevated homocysteine levels

Talk to your doctor before taking AUTRIN, if you:
- are allergic (hypersensitive) to any of the ingredients in AUTRIN
- suffer from pernicious anemia and other megaloblastic anemias where vitamin B12 is deficient
- might be in a state of chronic iron intake
- have any renal impairment conditions, chronic renal failure and are undergoing hemodialysis
- have any liver disease, hepatic impairment
- have any other chronic or acute medical ailments
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking AUTRIN
- Ask your doctor for advice before giving AUTRIN to your children
- AUTRIN will usually not affect your ability to drive and use machines
Tell your doctor before taking AUTRIN, if you are taking any other medicine including medicines obtained without prescription or any other supplements or herbal products.
- Always take AUTRIN exactly as your health care provider has told you
- AUTRIN may cause nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, headache, skin rashes or other allergic reactions, although not everybody gets them
