Uses of Garenoxacin
Garenoxacin is used in the treatment and prevention of bacterial respiratory infections such as sinusitis (nasal passage infection), laryngitis (voice box infection), tonsillitis, otitis media (middle ear infection).
It is also used to treat acute bronchitis (lung infection), pneumonia (infection or inflammation of the lungs caused by bacteria), pharyngitis (throat infection) and secondary infection in chronic respiratory lesion.

How Garenoxacin works
Garenoxacin prevents the body from various bacterial infections by inhibiting the action of a bacterial enzyme called DNA gyrase. It also interferes with the bacterial cell division and reproduction thereby killing the bacteria.

- If you experience shortness of breath, decreased blood pressure, edema and redness (shock, anaphylaxis)
- If you experience fever, hyperemia of the mucous membrane of the eyeball, skin symptoms (erythema, blisters, erosion) (Toxic epidermal necrolysis, mucocutaneous ocular syndrome, erythema multiforme)
- If you experience palpitations, pulse jumps, discomfort in the chest (QT prolongation, ventricular tachycardia (including Torsades de Pointes), ventricular fibrillation)
- If you experience sweating, hunger, trembling in the limbs (hypoglycemia)
