Introduction About VOMISHUNT MD 8 TABLET

VOMISHUNT MD 8 TABLET is used to provide relief from sensation of nausea and vomiting. It contains a medicine called Ondansetron which is an anti-emetic medicine. It reduces the nausea and vomiting sensation by blocking the vomiting centres of the brain.

Before taking VOMISHUNT MD 8 TABLET, inform your doctor if you have severe constipation, heart or liver problems, imbalance with the levels of salts in the blood, such as potassium, sodium and magnesium or if you have been scheduled for any surgery.

Consult your doctor before taking VOMISHUNT MD 8 TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

The dose of VOMISHUNT MD 8 TABLET will depends on the age, body weight and disease condition of your child. Dosage adjustment is not required in elderly patients, hence consult your doctor before taking VOMISHUNT MD 8 TABLET.

How to use VOMISHUNT MD 8 TABLET

Take VOMISHUNT MD 8 TABLET as advised by your physician. It can be taken with or without food.

For Tablet, Capsule: Swallow VOMISHUNT MD 8 TABLET with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.

For Dispersible Tablet: Disperse the medicine in the specified quantity of water as mentioned in the label. Consume the medicine immediately after reconstitution.

For Oral Disintegrating strips: Place the medicine directly on your tongue and allow it to dissolve. For fast-dissolving strips, place the strip on your tongue or the inside of your cheek.

Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and severity of the infection.

  • apomorphine (used to manage Parkinson’s disease)
  • Antiepileptics (Ex. phenytoin, carbamazepine)
  • Anti-TB agent (Ex. rifampicin)
  • Pain killers (such as tramadol, methadone)
  • Antipsychotic agents (Ex. haloperidol)
  • Cardiac agents (Ex. amiodarone) and/or high blood pressure (Ex. atenolol, timolol)
  • cancer medicines (Ex. doxorubicin, daunorubicin, monoclonal, trastuzumab) 
  • Antibiotics (such as erythromycin, ketoconazole)
  • Antidepressants, Sedatives, Anxiolytics (ex. fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline, fluvoxamine, citalopram, venlafaxine, duloxetine escitalopram)
