Introduction About VICLOB M CREAM

VICLOB M CREAM is a combination of Clobetasol and Miconazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Corticosteroids and Antifungals. It is used to manage resistant dermatoses (skin infections) with secondary fungal infections like psoriasis (except widespread plaque psoriasis) and recalcitrant dermatoses.

VICLOB M CREAM is not recommended for use in patients with rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, pruritus without inflammation, perianal and genital pruritus. VICLOB M CREAM should be used with caution in patients with liver or kidney disease and psoriasis. Contact your doctor before applying.

Use of VICLOB M CREAM during pregnancy should only be considered if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the foetus. Contact your doctor before applying. Use of VICLOB M CREAM during lactation should only be considered if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the infant. Contact your doctor before applying.

VICLOB M CREAM is not recommended for use in children under 1 year of age and should be used with caution in children above 1 year of age. Contact your doctor before applying. Uses Of VICLOB M CREAM

It is used to manage:

  • resistant dermatoses (skin infections) with secondary fungal infection Ex. psoriasis (except widespread plaque psoriasis)
  • recalcitrant dermatoses

How VICLOB M CREAM Works

VICLOB M CREAM helps to manage infection, where Clobetasol belongs to Corticosteroids which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen, and itchy and Miconazole is an antifungal which inhibits the fungal growth.  

How to use VICLOB M CREAM

Apply VICLOB M CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Apply a thin layer of the medicine to the affected area of the skin and rub it gently. Avoid contact with eyes.

Side Effects Of VICLOB M CREAM

Common

  • pruritus, skin burning or skin pain

Uncommon

  • skin atrophy
  • stretch marks 
  • inflammation of skin
  • hypopigmentation
  • application site irritation

Rare

Stop using VICLOB M CREAM and contact your physician immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:

  • severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis or angioedema (skin rash, swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat causing breathing difficulty)
