Introduction About URIVOID 25MG TABLET

URIVOID 25MG TABLET is used in the management of urinary retention (inability to empty the bladder) following an operation or after giving birth or other health problems (such as brain, spinal, or nerve problems) and is also used to manage reflux esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus due to backflow of stomach contents into the esophagus).

URIVOID 25MG TABLET contains bethanechol, which belongs to the group of medicines called Cholinergic agents. It works by making the contraction of urinary bladder muscles sufficiently strong to initiate urination and empty the bladder. It also stimulates motility, increases the tone of the stomach, and often restores impaired rhythmic peristalsis (wave-like muscle contractions that move food through the digestive tract).

URIVOID 25MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with gut or heart problems, asthma, fits, parkinsonism, or if you have had recent surgery on your stomach. URIVOID 25MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients taking certain medicines for heart problems, as a critical fall in blood pressure may occur.

URIVOID 25MG TABLET should be used with caution by pregnant and breastfeeding women only if clearly advised by the doctor. It is not recommended for use in elderly patients (above 70 years of age).

The most common side effects of taking URIVOID 25MG TABLET are diarrhea, skin flushing, increased salivation and sweating, decreased body temperature (hypothermia), etc. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.

Gradually take bland, low-fiber foods like bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast to help firm up stools. Probiotics, found in yogurt or supplements, may help restore the balance of gut bacteria. Practice good hand hygiene to prevent the spread of infection. Consult your doctor if diarrhea worsens.

Nausea And Vomiting

Stay hydrated with small sips of clear fluids like water, ginger ale, or electrolyte solutions. Avoid consuming large meals; instead, opt for bland, easy-to-digest foods.
