Introduction About TRANXIETY CAPSULE

TRANXIETY CAPSULE  is a tranquillizer used to oppose various emotional and bodily reactions, which accompany anxiety. Etifoxine hydrochloride belongs to the benzoxazines chemical group. As antianxiety agent, it has an autonomic regulatory action.

Take 3 to 4 capsules a day, taken as 2 or 3 divided doses for few days to a few weeks. Swallow the capsules with a little amount of water

It is not recommended for use in states of shock, severely impaired liver and/or renal function and myasthenia. This medicine is contraindicated in patients with congenital galactosemia, glucose and galactose malabsorption syndrome or lactase deficit. simultaneous intake of alcoholic drinks is inadvisable

The most common side effect is slight drowsiness, occurring at the start of treatment and disappearing spontaneously with its continuation.

Etifoxine reduces anxiety by indirectly boosting GABA activity through neurosteroid production and stabilizing nerve cells, making it different from benzodiazepines with potentially fewer sedative and dependency risks.

How to use TRANXIETY CAPSULE

Always take TRANXIETY CAPSULE  exactly as your doctor has instructed you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure. The usual dose is 3 to 4 capsules (150 mg - 200 mg) daily in two to three divided doses.

The duration of treatment is usually from a few days to not more than 8 weeks, depending on your doctor’s recommendations. The capsules should be swallowed with a little water. Your doctor will tell you how long your treatment with TRANXIETY CAPSULE  will last.

What if I forgot to take TRANXIETY CAPSULE

If you forget to take TRANXIETY CAPSULE  Do not take a double dose to make up for forgotten individual doses. If you stop taking TRANXIETY CAPSULE  Stopping the treatment does not lead to withdrawal (withdrawal is a state of deprivation or lack felt after stopping certain medicines with a reappearance or worsening of the disorders).

Overdose

If you take more TRANXIETY CAPSULE  than you should Taking too many TRANXIETY CAPSULE  capsules may increase the risk of somnolence (drowsiness). In the event of overdosage, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If neither is available

  • severe allergic reactions of the skin and face (flushing, rashes, itching, swelling)
  • allergic manifestationssuch as urticaria (nettle rash, hives) and angioedema (weals,swelling of lips, eyes and tongue)
  • allergic reactions with fever, rash, conjunctivitis (red, swollen eyes)
  • jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes), vomiting, tiredness, abdominal (belly) pain - these could be signs of severe liver problems
  • watery diarrhoea

Driving and Using Machines

Use with Caution

Do not drive or operate any tools or machinery as TRANXIETY CAPSULE  causes drowsiness, and impaired alertness, and it may hamper your ability to carry out these tasks.

Alcohol

Consult your doctor

Do not use alcohol or alcohol together with TRANXIETY CAPSULE  as alcohol increases the sedating effect of TRANXIETY CAPSULE . This may lead to decreased alertness.

Kidney

Contraindicated

TRANXIETY CAPSULE  is not recommended for use if you have severely impaired kidney function.

Liver

Contraindicated

TRANXIETY CAPSULE  is not recommended for use if you have severely impaired liver function.

Use In Pediatrics

Contraindicated

Etifoxine is generally not approved for use in children, as its safety and efficacy have not been established in pediatric populations.

Use In Geriatrics

Use with Caution

Use with caution in elderly patients. Start with a lower dose, as metabolism and drug clearance may be reduced.

  • if you have had severe skin reactions during previous treatment with TRANXIETY CAPSULE
  • if you suffer from galactosaemia (a disorder of milk sugar digestion), glucose-galactose malabsorption or lactase deficit (unable to digest lactose).
