Introduction About TINIBA 500MG TABLET
TINIBA 500MG TABLET is used in the management of post-operative infections caused by anaerobic bacteria, especially those associated with colonic, gastrointestinal and gynecological surgery. It is also used to manage intraperitoneal infections, gynecological infections, bacterial septicemia, post-operative wound infections, skin and soft tissue infections, upper and lower respiratory tract infections, non-specific vaginitis, acute ulcerative gingivitis, urogenital trichomoniasis in both male and female patients, giardiasis, intestinal amebiasis, amebic involvement of the liver. It contains Tinidazole which belongs to the group of medicines known as Anti-protozoals. It works against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa is believed to involve the penetration of the medicine into the cell of the microorganism and subsequent damage of DNA strands or inhibition of their synthesis.
TINIBA 500MG TABLET is not recommended for patients with organic neurological disorders and blood dyscrasias. TINIBA 500MG TABLET should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. It is not recommended for patients with first trimester in pregnancy. TINIBA 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use in breastfeeding mother.

How TINIBA 500MG TABLET Works
TINIBA 500MG TABLET contains Tinidazole which is a 5-nitroimidazole derivative of the substituted imidazole compounds and possesses antimicrobial activity against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. The mode of action of tinidazole against anaerobic bacteria and protozoa is believed to involve the penetration of the drug into the cell of the microorganism and subsequent damage of DNA strands or inhibition of their synthesis.
How to use TINIBA 500MG TABLET
Take TINIBA 500MG TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow this medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. It is recommended that TINIBA 500MG TABLET should be taken during or after a meal. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of TINIBA 500MG TABLET for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
