THIOQUEST DP4 CAPSULE is a combination of Diclofenac, Paracetamol and Thiocolchicoside which belongs to the group of medicines called Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory drugs, Analgesic & antipyretic drugs and Muscle relaxants respectively. It is used to relieve pain, reduce swelling, and muscle spasm associated with conditions affecting the joints, muscles and tendons like sprains, strains and backache, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, dental or minor surgery and other injuries.

Arthritis is the tenderness or swelling of one or more joints characterized by pain, stiffness, and reduced movements.

THIOQUEST DP4 CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients with asthma, liver, kidney, and heart. Consult your doctor for advice.

THIOQUEST DP4 CAPSULE is not recommended for use in woman who are pregnant. Consult your doctor for advice and it should be used with caution in breastfeeding woman.

How THIOQUEST DP4 CAPSULE Works

THIOQUEST DP4 CAPSULE act as a painkiller and muscle relaxant where Diclofenac and Paracetamol works by reducing the effects of prostaglandin (substance produced during injury and inflammation causing pain) thereby blocking the pain signals between the brain and nerve endings. Thiocolchicoside blocks the effects of acetylcholine (neurotransmitter responsible for muscle contraction.

How to use THIOQUEST DP4 CAPSULE

Take THIOQUEST DP4 CAPSULE as advised by your physician. Swallow this medicine and do not crush or chew the medicine. Correct dose and duration will be decided by your doctor depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Side Effects Of THIOQUEST DP4 CAPSULE

Common

  • stomach pain
  • indigestion
  • heartburn, pain
  • vomiting, nausea
  • loss of appetite

  • signs of bleeding in the stomach or intestine when emptying your bowels, blood in vomit or black, tarry faeces
  • allergic reactions including skin rash, itchiness, bruising
  • painful red areas, peeling or blistering
  • wheezing or shortness of breath (bronchospasm)
  • swollen face, lips, hands, or fingers
  • persistent sore throat or high temperature (fever)
  • change in the amount of urine produced and/or its appearance
  • abdominal cramps and tenderness
  • Stevens Johnson Syndrome (serious illness with blistering of the skin, mouth, eyes, and genitals)

How To Manage Side Effects

Bloating

Eat smaller and frequent meals. Eat and drink slowly, and exercise regularly. If the symptom does not improve. Contact your doctor for advice.

Constipation

Eat plenty of fibre rich foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, and cereals and drink plenty of water. Exercise more regularly.

Diarrhea

Drinking lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juice helps to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medication on your own without physician consultation.

Nausea And Vomiting

Take this medicine with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals and try to avoid oil rich or spicy foods, sugary snacks, and drinks. Take liquid drink slowly in between meals. Consult your doctor.

Stomach Pain

Try to rest and relax. Try to have smaller and frequent meals. Keep a heat pad on your stomach. Discuss with your doctor if the symptoms is not improving.

Driving and Using Machines

Do not drive or handle any machines while taking THIOQUEST DP4 CAPSULE, since it may cause dizziness, tiredness, and sleepiness.

Alcohol

Kidney

Heart Disease

Others

THIOQUEST DP4 CAPSULE is not recommended for use if you have:

  • stomach or duodenal ulcer
  • bleeding in the digestive tract which may cause blood in vomit, bleeding when emptying bowels, fresh blood in faeces or black, tarry faeces
  • problems with your blood circulation (peripheral arterial disease)
