Introduction About TENDIA P TABLET

TENDIA P TABLET is a combination of Pioglitazone and Teneligliptin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidiabetic agents. It is used in the management of type 2 diabetes in adult patients.

Pioglitazone effectively controls blood sugar levels. It contains pioglitazone which is PPAR-gamma and PPAR-alpha agonist. Following administration, it activates certain receptors (PPAR-gamma and PPAR-alpha) in the body which are involved in metabolizing glucose. This makes our body utilize insulin for digesting the circulating blood glucose which in turn decreases blood sugar levels. Additionally, TENDIA P TABLET can also reduce the glucose produced by the liver. Teneligliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase (DPP)-4 inhibitor. It lowers blood glucose levels by blocking the actions of an enzyme called dipeptidyl peptidase (DPP)-4 that regulates the secretion of insulin in the body. As a result, it improves insulin production and helps in the digestion of circulating blood glucose. It can also regulate blood sugar post meal by controlling glucagon secretion.

Along with the management, follow the diet and lifestyle changes advised by your doctor to achieve better results. Avoid smoking and consumption of alcohol while taking TENDIA P TABLET as it may aggravate your existing condition. TENDIA P TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with diabetes ketoacidosis (increased ketone bodies in the blood) or bladder cancer, type I diabetes mellitus and serious traumatic injury, pregnancy and breast feeding women. The most common side effects of taking TENDIA P TABLET are Hypoglycemia, Headache, dizziness, Constipation and Diarrhoea. Contact your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.
