Introduction About TAR 18 SHAMPOO

TAR 18 SHAMPOO contains Coal tar which belongs to the group of medicines called Keratolytic agent. It is used to control the symptoms such as itching, scaling, flaking, redness and irritation of skin caused by scalp psoriasis (a skin condition that cause thick crusted plaques over the scalp), seborrheic dermatitis (red scaly patches on the scalp) and dandruff (bran-like scaly patches scattered within hair-bearing areas of the scalp) in adults and children aged 12 years and above.

TAR 18 SHAMPOO is not recommended for use if you have inflamed or broken skin, erythrodermic or pustular psoriasis (redness, inflammation and blistering of the skin). Consult your doctor before using it.

TAR 18 SHAMPOO is generally not recommended for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women unless considered clearly necessary. TAR 18 SHAMPOO is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Consult your doctor before using it.

To control the symptoms of:

How TAR 18 SHAMPOO Works

TAR 18 SHAMPOO works by slowing excessive skin cell production. Thus, helps to control psoriasis. It has also cellular proliferation-inhibiting, vasoconstrictive, antipruritic (anti-itching) and antiseptic properties, which is important in the management of seborrheic dermatitis and dandruff.

How to use TAR 18 SHAMPOO

Apply TAR 18 SHAMPOO as advised by your physician. It is for external use only. Wet the hair thoroughly. Apply and massage TAR 18 SHAMPOO into the scalp to form a rich lather. Leave the lather on the scalp for several minutes and then rinse off with water. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. Do not apply to genital and rectal area.
