Introduction About SUPPOL ORAL SUSPENSION
Suppol Suspension is a painkiller and anti-pyretic medicine. Suppol suspension (paracetamol suspension) is with palatable raspberry flavour ensures higher compliance. It is used in children to temporarily relieve mild to moderate pain such as headache, toothache, migraine, nerve pain, sore throat, period pains and general aches and helps to reduce fever (high body temperature). It contains paracetamol as an active ingredient that reduces fever and pain.
Paracetamol relieves pain by increasing the pain threshold by inhibiting certain enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2) involved in the synthesis of chemicals responsible for inducing pain (prostaglandins). It reduces fever by directly acting on heat-regulating centers in the brain, resulting in vessel relaxation, sweating and loss of body heat.
Always give Suppol Suspension to your child as advised by the doctor. Shake well before use. 10-15 mg/kg body weight every 4-6 hours. Do not exceed the recommended daily dosage. Use a measuring cup to properly measure the dose. Do not give Suppol Suspension to your child if your child is allergic to any of its components.
