Introduction About SUCRALCOAT ANO CREAM

SUCRALCOAT ANO CREAM is a combination of Lignocaine and Sucralfate which belongs to a group of medicines known as Local Anesthetics and Protectants respectively. It is used to manage anal fissures, fistulae, haemorrhoids and other anorectal disorders.

Anal fissure is defined as a tear in the anus lining due to passing large or hard stools. It is characterised by bleeding and pain during bowel movements.

Haemorrhoid or piles is the lump inside or around the anus (bottom) which causes discomfort and bleeding. Surgical removal of haemorrhoids is known as haemorrhoidectomy.

Before using SUCRALCOAT ANO CREAM, inform your doctor if you have severe liver disease or sudden illness.

SUCRALCOAT ANO CREAM should be used with caution in pregnant woman and in breastfeeding woman.

SUCRALCOAT ANO CREAM is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 18 years of age. SUCRALCOAT ANO CREAM should be used with caution in elderly patients. Consult with your physician.

  • other local anaesthetics like xylocaine, procaine (used to numb the area)
  • tocainide, amiodarone, mexiletime (medicine used in the management or management of irregular heartbeat)
  • propranolol (used to manage high blood pressure)

Overdosage:

If you or anyone else accidentally used too much of SUCRALCOAT ANO CREAM, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose dizziness or drowsiness, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, blurred vision, trembling and difficulty breathing.
