SODANET DS TABLET contains Sodium Bicarbonate, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antacids. It is used in the management of metabolic acidosis. Metabolic acidosis can be defined as a condition in which body fluids and tissues produce too much acid in the body. It can also be used to manage heartburn (a burning sensation in the chest) and indigestion.
Before taking SODANET DS TABLET, inform your doctor if you have high levels of sodium in the blood, peripheral oedema (swelling of body parts due to fluid retention), or if you are following a strict diet that contains low sodium. In patients with severe liver disease, kidney disease, breathing difficulties, or heart failure, SODANET DS TABLET should be used with caution.
SODANET DS TABLET is not recommended for use by pregnant women unless clearly necessary. SODANET DS TABLET is not recommended to be used by children. SODANET DS TABLET should be used with caution in elderly patients (those over the age of 75). Consult your doctor before taking it. The most common side effects of taking SODANET DS TABLET are hypernatremia (a high level of sodium in the blood), alkalosis (an increased alkaline substance in the blood), cellulitis (a bacterial skin infection), etc. Consult your doctor if any of your symptoms get worse or persist.

How to use SODANET DS TABLET
Take SODANET DS TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will determine the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight, and disease condition.

Dry mouth:
Try chewing sugar -free gum or sugar free candies to stimulate the flow of saliva. Avoid caffeine containing drinks. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. Consult your doctor if your symptoms get worse or persist.

Driving and Using Machines
SODANET DS TABLET have no effect on ability to drive or operating machinery.

Liver
SODANET DS TABLET must be used in caution who have severe liver problems such as ascites, cirrhosis. Consult your doctor before taking SODANET DS TABLET.
Allergy
Do not take SODANET DS TABLET if you are allergic to Sodium Bicarbonate or any other ingredients of this medicine.
Lungs
SODANET DS TABLET is not recommended for use in patients who have breathing problems such as pulmonary oedema therefore consult your doctor before taking SODANET DS TABLET.
Heart Disease

Others
SODANET DS TABLET is not recommended for use if you have:
