SOBIMED 500 Tablet 10's
Introduction About SOBIMED 500 TABLET
Sobimed-500 Tablet is used for the management of metabolic acidosis, severe diarrhea accompanied by substantial GI bicarbonate loss, hemolytic reactions requiring alkalization of the urine to diminish the nephrotoxic effects of blood pigments and as an adjunct in the management of hyperkalemia (increased potassium levels in the blood). Also, used in advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and in the management of certain intoxications to decrease renal reabsorption of the drug or to correct acidosis. It contains sodium bicarbonate as an active ingredient that acts as an alkalizing agent.
Sodium bicarbonate acts as an antacid which reacts chemically to buffer or neutralize stomach acids, that in turn increases the stomach pH and relieves hyperacidity. It also acts as a urinary alkalinizer to diminish the nephrotoxic effects of blood pigments.
