Introduction About RESITAN AMH TABLET

RESITAN AMH TABLET is a combination of Amlodipine, Hydrochlorothiazide and Losartan which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensive agents. It is used to manage hypertension (high blood pressure) when management with single agents is not effective.

It also helps in reducing the risk of heart attack, heart failure or stroke and can protect the function of kidneys particularly in patients who have both hypertension and type II diabetes mellitus.

During management with RESITAN AMH TABLET your doctor will constantly monitor your kidney functions, blood pressure, electrolyte levels and blood sugar levels to avoid the risk of unwanted side effects. Avoid eating grapefruit or drinking grapefruit juice while taking RESITAN AMH TABLET as it may severely decrease your blood pressure.

Before taking RESITAN AMH TABLET inform your doctor if you have any heart, liver or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have diabetes, low blood pressure or are severely dehydrated due to excessive vomiting or diarrhea.

Dizziness:

Headache:

  • medicine used to manage HIV infection (Ex. indinavir, ritonavir, saquinavir)
  • medicines used to manage fungal infections (Ex. itraconazole, ketoconazole and fluconazole)
  • medicines used for heart problems (such as verapamil, diltiazem)
  • dantrolene (a medicine used to manage muscle spasms)
  • medicines to suppress immune system (Ex. cyclosporin, tacrolimus, sirolimus, temsirolimus and everolimus)
  • simvastatin, cholestyramine and colestipol (medicines to lower the cholesterol)
  • potassium supplements or potassium-sparing diuretics such as spironolactone, triamterene or amiloride (used to retain or increase potassium levels in the body)
  • antidepressants such as lithium, citalopram, fluoxetine, paroxetine, nefazodone, St. John’s wort (herbal medicine used to manage depression)
  • other medicines used to manage elevated blood pressure (such as aliskiren, bosentan, methyldopa, guanethidine, captopril, enalapril, lisinopril, verapamil, diltiazem, losartan, valsartan)
  • other diuretics (used to reduce edema) Ex. furosemide, bumetanide
  • adrenaline or nor-adrenaline (used for low blood pressure, shock, cardiac failure, asthma or allergies)
  • medicines used to manage gout (such as probenecid, sulfinpyrazone and allopurinol)
  • laxatives (used to manage constipation) Ex. lactulose
  • glycyrrhizin (a medicine used to reduce bronchitis)
  • anti-diabetic medicines and insulin (used to lower the blood glucose level) Ex. vildagliptin, metformin
  • corticosteroids (used to manage inflammation) Ex. prednisolone
  • iodinated contrast agents (used during X-ray procedures)
  • atropine (a medicine used to improve heart rate)
