INTRODUCTION
REGAINE 5% contains minoxidil which belongs to a group of medicine called vasodilators. It is used to manage common hereditary baldness (a condition called alopecia androgenetica). It acts on the scalp to help hair growth on the bald area. It should be only applied directly to the scalp area.
REGAINE 5% when it applied to the scalp, it helps to increase the blood flow. This increased blood flow provides more nutrition and oxygen to the hair follicles which prevent hair cell death and enhances new hair growth.
Clean and dry your scalp before using it. If you are use, more than recommended will not speed up hair growth and may cause dangerous side effects. This medicine should be used continuously to maintain hair growth. If your condition does not improve after using it for 4 to 6 months, consult your doctor. This medicine should not normally used by people under the age of 18 or over 65.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Always use this medicine exactly doctor has told you. This medicine is use on the scalp only. Do not apply other areas of the body. Make sure that the scalp is clean and dry before applying.

SERIOUS

HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Dizziness:
lying down and closing the eyes. drink plenty of water and keep hydrated. Take plenty of sleep.
Headache:
Apply hot or cold-water bag on your head. Take rest in a quiet and dark room. Drink tea or coffee.
Weight Gain:
Exercise regularly. Take a balanced diet that including whole grains, fresh fruits, vegetables and fat-free products.
Chest pain:
Take aspirin and other anti-platelet medications. Consult your doctor immediately.

PREGNANCY
REGAINE 5% is not recommended for use in pregnant women unless necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
BREASTFEEDING
REGAINE 5% is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women unless necessary. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor.
ALCOHOL
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during management with REGAINE 5%.
ALLERGY
Do not use REGAINE 5% if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to Minoxidil or any other ingredients in this medicine.
OTHERS
Tell your doctor if you have or had condition such as,
- high blood pressure
- scalp conditions such as psoriasis
INTERACTIONS
Talk to your doctor, if you are using other medicines that are applied to the scalp which contain any of the following ingredients:
- corticosteroids
- tretinoin
- dithranol
- petrolatum
- guanethidine
