Pyosan Gum Paint is an astringent and counterirritant that is used to relieve inflamed sore gums or spongy gums. It contains tannic acid glycerine, potassium iodide, iodine, thymol, menthol, and glycerine as active ingredients that help optimize oral hygiene.
Tannic acid is an astringent that works by coagulating proteins to stop gum bleeding and pus discharge. Potassium iodide and thymol act as antiseptic and anti-infective agents. Iodine and menthol have counterirritant and rubefacient properties which helps to provide relief from irritation and itching. Menthol provides additional comfort.
