Introduction About PIROX GEL

PIROX GEL contains Piroxicam, which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs. Piroxicam exerts its anti-inflammatory actions by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase-1 thereby, blocking the release of prostaglandins (a substance produced during injury and inflammation causing pain and swelling) and other chemical mediators that cause pain and swelling.
