PANSEC IV (WITH DILUENT) INJECTION is used to manage peptic ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) or reflux esophagitis and its associated symptoms such as acidity, heartburn, acid reflux and pain in swallowing. It contains Pantoprazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Proton pump inhibitors.
During management with PANSEC IV (WITH DILUENT) INJECTION your doctor will closely monitor your kidney functions, liver functions and blood magnesium levels to avoid the risk of unwanted side effects. Before receiving PANSEC IV (WITH DILUENT) INJECTION inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have weak bones or any previous history of bleeding in the gut.

PANSEC IV (WITH DILUENT) INJECTION reduces gastric acid secretion by the blocking the actions of a protein membrane called H+K+Atpase (proton pump) across the stomach lining. As a result, it manages the worsening of ulcers, heals the existing ulcers and esophageal lesions and provides relief from the unpleasant symptoms of GI tract (such as acidity, heartburn and acid reflux).
How to use PANSEC IV (WITH DILUENT) INJECTION
- It will be administered to you only by a doctor or a nurse into the vein (intravenously)
- Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition
