OLYMPRIX M 500MG TABLET is used to manage high blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is a combination of Metformin and Teneligliptin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidiabetic agents.
Before taking OLYMPRIX M 500MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have low potassium levels in blood or are severely dehydrated due to excessive vomiting or diarrhea recently. During therapy with OLYMPRIX M 500MG TABLET, your doctor might regularly monitor blood sugar levels and kidney functions to avoid the risk of unwanted side effects.
OLYMPRIX M 500MG TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe uncontrollable diabetes. How OLYMPRIX M 500MG TABLET Works
OLYMPRIX M 500MG TABLET contains Metformin and Teneligliptin. Metformin works by lowering glucose production in the liver, delaying glucose absorption from intestines and increasing the body’s sensitivity to insulin. Teneligliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor which works by increasing the release of insulin from pancreas and decreasing the hormones that raise blood sugar levels. This reduces both fasting and post-meal sugar levels. Together, they provide better control of blood sugar.
How to use OLYMPRIX M 500MG TABLET
- Take OLYMPRIX M 500MG TABLET preferably after meals or as advised by your physician
- Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine
