OLMISTRUM MT 25 TABLET is a combination of Metoprolol and Olmesartan which belongs to the group of medicines called Antihypertensive agents. It is used to manage hypertension (high blood pressure). It can also be used to reduce the risk of heart attack (myocardial infarction), stroke, chest pain (angina) and uneven heartbeat (arrhythmia).

Before taking OLMISTRUM MT 25 TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have diabetes, thyroid problems, asthma, poor blood circulation, psoriasis, allergic reactions or gout as a precaution.

OLMISTRUM MT 25 TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with severe low blood pressure, uncontrollable heart failure or heart block. It is also not suitable for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women as it may cause serious harm to the growing baby.

The most common side effects of taking this medicine are low blood pressure, slow or fast heart rate, cold hands and feet, headache, dizziness, nausea, diarrhoea, constipation, sore throat, cough, high blood cholesterol levels and swollen ankles. Collectively, these actions reduce the strain on the heart and helps the heart to pump more blood with less pressure.

How to use OLMISTRUM MT 25 TABLET

Take OLMISTRUM MT 25 TABLET as directed by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
