ODOXIL SUSPENSION contains Cefadroxil which belongs to the group of medicines called Cephalosporin antibiotics. It is used in children to manage bacterial infections of the throat and upper part of the respiratory tract, skin and soft tissues, and the urinary tract. A bacterial infection can be defined as a proliferation of various harmful strains of bacteria in the body. They can affect any part(s) of the body including the respiratory tract, urinary tract, eyes, ears, skin, soft tissue, or bones. ODOXIL SUSPENSION is typically used in young children who weigh less than 40 kg.

ODOXIL SUSPENSION must be taken with meals to avoid unwanted gastrointestinal side effects. Your doctor will decide the suitable dose for your child depending upon their age, body weight and severity of the infection.

• diuretics (used to increase urine output) Ex. furosemide

If your child accidentally took more ODOXIL SUSPENSION consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdosage might include allergic reaction causing dizziness or breathing difficulties, low blood pressure, abnormal heartbeat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, skin eruptions or muscular contractions.
