Introduction About ODIMONT AL TABLET

ODIMONT AL TABLET is a combination of Ambroxol, Levocetirizine and Montelukast which belong to a group of medicines called Mucolytics, Antihistamines and Leukotriene receptor antagonists respectively. It is used to manage chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, asthma, allergic rhinitis and bronchitis.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder is a chronic inflammatory lung disease that causes obstructed airflow from the lungs which is generally characterized by symptoms such as breathing difficulty, cough, mucus production and wheezing.

Asthma is a lung disease which causes airways to get narrow, swollen and blocked by excess mucus that is characterized by symptoms such as breathing difficulty, cough and wheezing.

Bronchitis is an infection of the main airways of the lungs (bronchi) that cause airways to become irritated and inflamed which is generally characterized by symptoms such as cough, production of mucus, weakness, shortness of breath and chest discomfort.

Avoid taking ODIMONT AL TABLET, if you are allergic to Ambroxol, Levocetirizine or Montelukast.

Before taking ODIMONT AL TABLET inform your doctor if you have hepatic impairment and kidney problems such as renal impairment.

How ODIMONT AL TABLET Works

ODIMONT AL TABLET provides symptomatic relief from chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, asthma, allergic rhinitis and bronchitis. Ambroxol provides relief from symptoms of nasal congestion, allergic cough and rhinorrhea by thinning and loosening the mucus in the nose, windpipe and lungs. Levocetirizine provides relief from itching, swelling and rashes by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger called histamine in the body (which is responsible for producing allergic reactions in the body). Montelukast manages allergic rhinitis by blocking leukotriene (a chemical messenger) that results in the reduction of inflammation of the airways which provides relief to the symptoms associated with allergies.
