Introduction About NOZIA TABLET

NOZIA TABLET contains Ramosetron which belongs to the group of medicines called 5-HT3 (Serotonin) receptor antagonists. It is used to manage nausea and vomiting due to chemotherapy and diarrheal IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) in men. Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a gastrointestinal disorder that affects the intestine. Symptoms include stomach ache, diarrhoea or constipation, and bloating.

NOZIA TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with ischemic colitis, constipation or constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome, large intestine carcinoma and inflammatory bowel disease, infectious enteritis or history of abdominal surgery.

NOZIA TABLET is generally not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women and in children and adolescents (less than 18 years of age). It should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above).

The most common side effects of taking NOZIA TABLET is constipation. Consult your doctor immediately if the symptom or side effect gets worse.

How NOZIA TABLET Works

NOZIA TABLET effectively manages nausea and vomiting by blocking the serotonin 5-HT3 receptor present in the gastrointestinal mucosa. It also manages irritable bowel syndrome by inhibiting the 5-HT3 receptor present in the myenteric plexus (which regulates bowel's movement).

How to use NOZIA TABLET

Take NOZIA TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Depending on your age, body weight, and medical condition, your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration of the management for you.

  • symptoms of ischemic colitis (such as abdominal pain and bloody stool)

How To Manage Side Effects

Constipation

Eat fibre rich foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables and cereals. Drink more water and exercise regularly. Consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve.

  • fluvoxamine (medicines used to manage depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder)

If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of NOZIA TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital.
