INTRODUCTION
NOZIA contains Ramosetron which belongs to the group of medicines called 5-HT3 (Serotonin) receptor antagonists. It is used to prevent and manage nausea and vomiting associated with chemotherapy or surgical procedure in adults.
Before receiving NOZIA inform your doctor if you have any problems with liver, kidney or heart and any other medical conditions. NOZIA is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women. Also, it is not recommended for use in children due to lack of safety and effectiveness.
NOZIA should be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years and above). The most common side effects of receiving NOZIA are headache, dizziness, and constipation. Consult your doctor if any of the side effect worsens.

HOW NOZIA WORKS
NOZIA effectively prevents nausea and vomiting by blocking the serotonin 5-HT3 receptor present in the gastrointestinal mucosa.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
NOZIA will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse into a vein as an intravenous infusion. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose and duration for you depending on your age, body weight and medical condition.
SIDE EFFECTS OF NOZIA
COMMON
- headache, dizziness
- constipation
HOW TO MANAGE SIDE EFFECTS
Headache:
Drink ample amount of water and avoid skipping meals. Get adequate rest. Try to be relaxed and stress free. Apply pain relieving balm on your forehead if necessary. Inform your doctor if the symptom does not improve.
Dizziness:
Lie down until dizziness is gone, then get up slowly. Move slowly and carefully, do not hurry. Get adequate rest. Drink plenty of water and other fluids. Avoid taking caffeine or its related product. Inform your doctor if the symptom gets worse.
Constipation:
Try to eat more high-fiber foods such as fresh fruit, vegetables, cereals, and drink plenty of water. If this does not help, inform your doctor for receiving alternate management for constipation.

PREGNANCY
NOZIA is not recommended for use in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before receiving NOZIA.
BREASTFEEDING
NOZIA is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women as it is not known whether it may pass through the breast milk. Consult your doctor before receiving NOZIA.
ALLERGY
Do not receive NOZIA if you are allergic to Ramosetron or other ingredients of this medicine.
OTHERS
Use in pediatrics:

INTERACTIONS
A. Drug - Drug interactions:
Before receiving NOZIA, inform your doctor if you are taking this medicine:
- fluvoxamine (used to manage depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder)
Overdosage:
NOZIA will be given to you only by a doctor or nurse in a hospital, and so it is unlikely to receive an overdose. However, if you experience any unusual symptoms, contact your doctor immediately
