NOSVIN MINI 0.01% NASAL DROPS contains Oxymetazoline which belongs to the group of medicines called Nasal decongestants. It is used in new-borns and in infants (aged below 1 year) to manage nasal congestion, itching and discomfort caused due to common cold, sinusitis (inflammation of the sinuses) or allergic rhinitis (an allergic condition).

Always use NOSVIN MINI 0.01% NASAL DROPS as directed by your physician. It is for intranasal use only. Do not use NOSVIN MINI 0.01% NASAL DROPS for more than 10 days in your child without consulting your doctor.

Before using NOSVIN MINI 0.01% NASAL DROPS inform your doctor if your child has heart problems or thyroid problems. You must also inform your doctor if your child has any other problems in the nasal tract apart from nasal congestion such as nasal inflammation, nasal dryness, or any recent surgery in the nose.

The most common side effects of using NOSVIN MINI 0.01% NASAL DROPS are irritation or burning sensation after application and nasal dryness. Consult your doctor if they bother your child.

It is used in new-borns and in infants (aged below 1 year) to provide relief from:

  • Nasal congestion (blocked nose)
  • Symptoms of Allergic rhinitis (such as nasal itching, discomfort, runny nose)
  • Sinusitis (inflammation of nasal passages)

How NOSVIN MINI 0.01% NASAL DROPS Works

NOSVIN MINI 0.01% NASAL DROPS opens and clears the nasal passages. It works by narrowing down the blood vessels supplying the nasal passage. This helps swollen blood vessels of the nasal tract to return to its normal size which allows the air to pass through the nostrils more freely. It also reduces excessive nasal secretions and provides temporary relief from nasal inflammation, swelling and discomfort.

How to use NOSVIN MINI 0.01% NASAL DROPS

Always use NOSVIN MINI 0.01% NASAL DROPS as directed by your physician. It is for intranasal use only.

For Nasal Drops: Gently instil few drops of this medicine into each nostril. Clean the dropper after application.

For Nasal Spray: Insert the spray nozzle inside the affected nostril. Press the pump to release the spray and sniff at the same time. Repeat the same to the other nostril if required. Clean the nozzle after application.

To avoid possible spread of infection, this pack should only be used by a single person. Do not use NOSVIN MINI 0.01% NASAL DROPS for more than 10 days without consulting your doctor. Discard the unused portion after 28 days of opening it.

  • has phaeochromocytoma (a rare tumor of the adrenal glands)

  • has diabetes
  • has hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid gland)
  • is a pre-term baby

Interactions

A. Drug-Drug interactions:

Before using NOSVIN MINI 0.01% NASAL DROPS, inform your doctor if your child is taking any of the following medicines:

  • antidepressants (used to manage depression) such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (Ex. moclobemide, isocarboxazid, phenelzine and tranylcypromine), tricyclic antidepressants (Ex. amitriptyline, nortriptyline), lithium, fluoxetine, sertraline, citalopram, escitalopram etc
  • medicines used to control blood pressure such as alpha blockers (Ex. prazosin, terazocin) or beta blockers (Ex. propranolol, atenolol)
  • timolol, betaxolol (used to manage glaucoma in the eye)

Overdosage:

If your child accidentally swallowed the medicine or applied too much of NOSVIN MINI 0.01% NASAL DROPS, consult your doctor immediately.
