Introduction About NEOSOL 5MG TABLET

NEOSOL 5MG TABLET contains Trioxsalen which belongs to the group of medicines called Antipsoriatic agents. It is used in the management of vitiligo and psoriasis along with UV light.

Vitiligo is a pigmentation disorder of the skin that causes loss of skin colour in patches. Psoriasis is a skin condition that causes rashes with itchy, scaly spots on the knees, elbows, trunk, and scalp.

Your doctor may recommend you take relevant tests to understand your existing condition. After taking the medicine avoid exposure to the sun even through a window or glass for at least 8 hours.

Before taking NEOSOL 5MG TABLET inform your doctor if you have or had an allergic reaction to sunlight, porphyria, heart or blood vessel disease, eye problems (cataract), infections, stomach pain, skin cancer or melanoma, and lupus erythematosus.

NEOSOL 5MG TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women. The safety and effectiveness of this medicine in breastfeeding women have not been established yet.

How NEOSOL 5MG TABLET Works

NEOSOL 5MG TABLET works by activating certain skin cells (melanocytes) and helps repigment the discolored, white patches in vitiligo. It also slows down the rapid growth of skin cells in psoriasis. This reduces scaling and thickening of the skin.

How to use NEOSOL 5MG TABLET

Always take NEOSOL 5MG TABLET as directed by your physician. Swallow the medicine as a whole and do not crush or chew the medicine. Cover your skin for at least 8 hours by wearing protective clothing, use a sunblock product that has a skin protection factor on your lips and on those areas of your body that cannot be covered. Your doctor will decide the correct dose, duration and frequency for you depending on your age, body weight and health condition.
