Introduction About LEPIVIL TABLET

LEPIVIL TABLET contains Levosulpiride, which belongs to the group of medicines called Prokinetic agents. It is used to manage nausea, vomiting, and indigestion. It can also be used to manage diabetic gastroparesis.

Diabetic gastroparesis is a stomach condition caused by poorly controlled diabetes. It manages the stomach muscles from emptying their digested contents into the intestines. This creates a feeling of fullness even after eating only a little amount of food, along with nausea and a lack of appetite.

Before taking LEPIVIL TABLET, inform your doctor if you have any kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have epilepsy, mania, or any other mental illness as a precaution.

LEPIVIL TABLET is not recommended for use in patients having bleeding or any blockage or tear in the gut. It is also not suitable for use in patients having cancer or tumours in the body. Do not take LEPIVIL TABLET without consulting your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

The most common side effects of taking LEPIVIL TABLET are headache, drowsiness, tiredness, breast enlargement and discharge, and a decrease in sex drive. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects bother you.

How LEPIVIL TABLET Works

LEPIVIL TABLET is a prokinetic medicine with anti-emetic and anti-dyspeptic properties. It acts by blocking the actions of certain chemical messengers (dopamine) in the brain that control the movement of stomach muscles. This action improves muscle movement in the stomach (gastric motility) and reduces the unpleasant symptoms of the GI tract (such as nausea, vomiting, indigestion, sensation of fullness, and lack of appetite).
