KETOVAG SOAP contains Ketoconazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Antimicrobials. It is used to manage fungal infections of the skin like dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis (a fungal infection causing dry or oily scaling of the scalp and other parts of the body).

Before using KETOVAG SOAP, inform your doctor if you have any allergies, or if you are using any steroids. KETOVAG SOAP can be usually used by pregnant and breastfeeding women but consult your doctor for advice.

KETOVAG SOAP is not recommended for use in infants and children. Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, wash your eyes properly with water. Call your doctor if you experience any side effects or if any of the symptoms get worse.

KETOVAG SOAP reduces fungal infection where ketoconazole arrests growth in fungal cells and zinc pyrithione damages the proteins essential for fungal metabolism and growth.

How to use KETOVAG SOAP

Use KETOVAG SOAP as advised by your physician. It is for external use only. Apply KETOVAG SOAP to the affected part of the skin and rub gently to develop enough lather. After two minutes, wash off thoroughly.

If KETOVAG SOAP accidentally gets in your eye, wash your eyes with water. Do not swallow it. Your doctor will decide the proper dose and duration of therapy for you according to your age, body weight and disease condition.

How To Manage Side Effects

Skin rash:

Avoid hot showers as it can irritate your skin more. Do not scratch the affected area. Use protective clothing when going outdoors. Regularly moisturize your skin. If the symptom persists, contact your doctor.

Eye irritation:

Wash your eyes with plain cold water. Apply an ice pack on your eye to soothe the irritation. Keep away from mobile phones, laptops, or television to avoid straining your eyes. Wear protective sunglasses while going outdoors. If irritation persists, contact your doctor.
