Talk to your doctor if you:
- are allergic to any other ingredients of this medicine
- have severe liver or kidney problems
- have difficulty in passing urine
- have diabetes
- have high calcium or low potassium levels in your blood
- get excessive vomiting or diarrhoea
- suffer from heart problems
- suffer from lupus erythematosus
- have primary aldosteronism
- had skin cancer
- are going to undergo any surgery
- This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding
- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor for advice before taking this medicine
- This medicine should not be given to children and adolescents below 18 years of age
- Do not drive or operate any machines while taking this medicine since it may cause drowsiness and weariness
Tell your doctor if you are taking,
- ACE-inhibitor or aliskiren (used to manage high blood pressure)
- diuretics
- potassium supplements
- laxatives
- lithium (used to manage depression)
- non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (used to manage pain)
- steroids, medicines to manage cancer, arthritis medicines
- colestyramine and colestipol resins for lowering blood cholesterol
- medicines for the management of gout
- medicines to control heart rhythm
- medicines for diabetes (oral agents or insulins)
- carbamazepine (used to manage epilepsy)
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you
- Swallow the medicine with a glass of water
- Do not crush or chew the medicine
If you take more INSAT H
- If you take more of this medicine, talk to your doctor or go to a nearest hospital immediately
If you forget to take INSAT H
- If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it, however if it is nearly time for the next dose skip the missed dose
- Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose
If you stop taking INSAT H
- Do not stop taking this medicine unless your doctor tells to do so
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
- rash, urticaria, swelling of the face, lips and/or tongue
- shortness of breath
- nausea or vomiting
- abnormal urination
- fatigue
- dizziness (including when getting up from a lying or sitting position)
- diarrhoea
- low blood pressure
- fainting
- increase in heart rate
- flushing, swelling
- blood tests may show lowered levels of potassium and sodium in your blood
- Keep this medicine out of reach of the children
- Store at a room temperature of 15-25°C
