HICEF 100 DRY SYRUP is used in children for the management of bacterial infections. It is used for short-term management of bacterial infections of urinary tract, skin and soft-tissue, ear, bone, blood, abdomen, genital and lungs (pneumonia). It is also used to reduce the risk of getting typhoid fever.
It contains a medicine called Cefixime, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria by interfering with the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall and eventually killing the bacteria.

- For Dispersible Tablet: Disperse the medicine in the required quantity of water (as mentioned in product label) and make your child consume the mixture once the medicine dissolves completely
- For Dry syrup: Shake the bottle to disperse the powder. Pour the sterile water provided with the pack into the bottle containing powder. Close the bottle and shake it vigorously. Make sure that the mixture has no lumps. Measure the required quantity of prepared mixture in the measuring cup and make your child consume it.
- Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight, and severity of the infection.
