Introduction About GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET
GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET contains Chondroitin Sulfate, and Glucosamine Sulphate which belongs to the group of medicines called Glycosaminoglycan, and Organic compounds. It is used as supplement for the management of conditions like osteoarthritis (pain, inflammation and stiffness of joints), cartilage degeneration, tendonitis, bursitis (inflammation of bursae which acts like a cushion at the joints characterised pain and swelling), musculoskeletal injuries.
GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET is not recommended for use in patients with prostate cancer or at risk of developing it. Avoid taking GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET if you are allergic to shellfish, and caution should be exercised if you are on a controlled sodium diet. GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET should be used with caution in patients with asthma, kidney or liver insufficiency, or heart disease.
GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET is not recommended for use during pregnancy or in nursing women. Consult with your doctor before taking GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET is generally not advised for use in children and adolescents (those under the age of 18).When used on elderly patients, use with caution.

How GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET Works
GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET effectively reduces the joint problems where chondroitin sulphate works by inhibiting certain cartilage destroying substances and provides matrix components which maintains structural strength of the bone, it also possesses anti-inflammatory properties which reduces joint inflammation. Glucosamine works by stimulating glycosaminoglycans which helps in rebuilding the cartilages and reduces the joint inflammation by inhibiting certain inflammatory substances.
How to use GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET
Take GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

How To Manage Side Effects
Bloating

Constipation
Eat plenty of fiber rich foods such as fresh fruits, vegetables, and cereals and drink plenty of water. Exercise more regularly.
Diarrhea
Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juice to keep yourself hydrated. Do not consume any medicine on your own without consulting your doctor.
Headache
Apply hot or cold-water bag on your head. Try to take rest in a quiet and dark room. Drink tea or coffee. Massage on scalp or head with mild pressure. Consult your doctor for advice.
Nausea And Vomiting
Take this medicine with, or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich or spicy foods.
Stomach Pain

Interactions
A. Drug-Drug interactions:
Before taking GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine
- warfarin, coumarin, heparin, acetylsalicylic acid, clopidogrel, dipyridamol, ditazol, ticlopidine, trifusal or any other anticoagulants (used to manage clotting of blood)
- medicines used for diabetes (Ex. metformin, glibenclamide)
- tetracycline (an antibiotic used to manage a wide range of bacterial infections)
B. Drug-Food interaction:
Do not take GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET if you are allergic to shellfish since glucosamine is obtained from shellfish and caution should be exercised if you are on a controlled sodium diet. Consult your doctor for advice.
Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of GLUCOGIANT CT PLUS TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of an overdose include headache, dizziness, disorientation, joint pain, feeling sick (nausea), vomiting, constipation, and diarrhoea.
