What is GELUSIL MPS ORIGINAL MINT FLAVOUR?
Introduction:
Gelusil MPS is a widely used antacid in India providing quick relief from acidity, heartburn & gas. It has a balanced formulation of magnesium hydroxide & aluminium hydroxide with dimethicone which provides fast as well as long lasting relief from acidity, heartburn and gas. This antacid is sugar-free and is generally well tolerated. The stomach normally secretes acid which is essential in the process of digestion. Excess production of acid in the stomach results in the condition known as acidity. The problem created by acid reflux is heartburn, a condition where some of the stomach contents are forced back up into the esophagus which creates a burning pain in the lower chest.
Aluminum and magnesium hydroxide work quickly to lower the acid in the stomach. Activated dimethicone is an active substance to regulate bowel function by changing the surface tension of the intestinal mucous to eliminate excessive gas, air or foam in people with abdominal pain and bloating. It is used to relieve symptoms of extra gas such as belching, bloating and feelings of pressure/discomfort in the stomach/gut. Take 1-2 teaspoonful of the syrup 30-60 min after meals or whenever symptoms are pronounced for not more than two weeks. Antacids should not be given to children (up to 6 years of age) unless prescribed by a physician.
