Introduction About FRUSIMED 40 TABLET

FRUSIMED 40 TABLET contains frusemide (furosemide) which belongs to the group of medicines called Diuretics. It is used to manage edema (fluid retention) due to problems with your heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, blood vessels or high blood pressure. Generally, accumulation of excess fluid in the body adds extra pressure on your heart, blood vessels, lungs, kidneys or liver and can cause swelling of the ankles, breathing difficulties or even make you feel more tired than usual.

During the course of management with FRUSIMED 40 TABLET, your doctor will recommend you take several blood tests to monitor your blood sugar and uric acid levels as a precaution to avoid unwanted side effects. They may also monitor your blood potassium and sodium levels carefully, especially if you have vomiting or diarrhea.

Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you have any kidney, liver or heart problems. FRUSIMED 40 TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant and breast-feeding women. FRUSIMED 40 TABLET should be used with caution in children over 12 years of age. Also, it should be used with caution in elderly patients. The most common side effects of taking FRUSIMED 40 TABLET are dehydration, electrolyte imbalance and decreased blood volume. Consult your doctor if any of the side effect worsens or persist for a long period of time.
