Introduction About FERTITRIG 50 TABLET
FERTITRIG 50 TABLET contains Clomiphene which belongs to the group of medicines called Ovulation Stimulators. It is used in the management of female infertility. It can promote ovulation (release of matured egg from the ovaries) in women who do not produce eggs and in women undergoing fertility managements.
Prior to the management, your doctor may evaluate your fertility status thoroughly as a precaution. During management with FERTITRIG 50 TABLET, your doctor will closely monitor your health condition through several blood tests and ultrasounds to avoid the risk of side effects.
Before taking FERTITRIG 50 TABLET inform your doctor if you have any problems in your kidney or liver. You must also inform your doctor if you have fits, high blood fat levels, unexplained vaginal bleeding, early menopause, cyst in the ovaries or cancer in the breast, uterus or ovaries as a precaution.
FERTITRIG 50 TABLET should not be used in pregnant women after successful conception. It is also not recommended for use in breastfeeding women and in children or adolescents (aged below 18 years).
The most common side effects of taking FERTITRIG 50 TABLET are flushing, lower stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, painful periods, heavy bleeding, painful breasts and bloating. Consult your doctor if they worsen.

How to use FERTITRIG 50 TABLET
Take FERTITRIG 50 TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not chew or crush the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Side Effects Of FERTITRIG 50 TABLET
Common
- flushing
- lower stomach pain with weight gain and swelling
- nausea, vomiting
- painful periods
- heavy bleeding during periods
- bleeding in between periods
- breast pain
- bloating, distended stomach
- increased blood fat levels
Uncommon
- nervousness
- feeling dizzy, problems in balance
- tiredness
- difficulty in falling asleep (insomnia)
- depression, mood changes, changes in behaviour
Rare
- fits
- eye pain, reduced vision
Stop taking FERTITRIG 50 TABLET and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
- signs of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (such as lower abdominal pain with sensation of nausea or vomiting, weight gain, difficulty in breathing, difficulty in passing urine, enlarged ovaries and fluid build-up in chest or abdomen)
- signs of allergic reactions (such as skin rash, itching, swelling of the eyes, face, lips, tongue or throat leading to difficulty in breathing or swallowing)
- signs of a stroke (such as weakness, numbness, or paralysis on one side of the body, slurred speech, sudden blurred vision, unsteadiness or confusion)
- blurred vision or flashes or spots in front of the eyes
- sings of liver problems causing yellowing of eyes and skin (jaundice)
- sudden severe headaches
- mental illness like psychosis
How To Manage Side Effects
Nausea and Vomiting:
Take FERTITRIG 50 TABLET with or just after meals. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich or spicy foods. Consult your doctor if your symptom worsens.
Warning & Precautions
Pregnancy
FERTITRIG 50 TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.
Breastfeeding
FERTITRIG 50 TABLET can reduce breast milk production. Therefore, consult your doctor before taking FERTITRIG 50 TABLET if you are a breastfeeding woman.
Driving and Using Machines
Do not drive or operate any machines if you experience any vision problems (like blurred vision) after taking FERTITRIG 50 TABLET.
Kidney

Liver

- fibroids in womb
- polycystic ovaries
- swollen or enlarged ovaries
- or have a family history of hypertriglyceridemia (high fat content in blood)
- an early menopause
Use in pediatrics:
FERTITRIG 50 TABLET is not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years). Therefore, consult your doctor before taking it.
Use in geriatrics:
FERTITRIG 50 TABLET is for use only in patients who undergo menstruation. It is not intended for use in men or in elderly women who have reached menopause.

Overdosage:
