ETOBRIX 90 CAPSULE is used to reduce pain and swelling associated with inflammatory bone conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (inflammation of the spine), and gout (joint pain caused by excessive accumulation of uric acid in between the joints). It can also be used to reduce pain following a dental surgery. It contains Etoricoxib, which belongs to the group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs. It works by blocking the release of certain chemicals (prostaglandins) in the body that cause pain, swelling, and inflammation, thereby reducing pain and inflammation associated with inflammatory conditions.

Before taking ETOBRIX 90 CAPSULE, inform your doctor if you have any history of heart, liver, or kidney problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have diabetes, high blood cholesterol levels, uncontrollable high blood pressure, or severe dehydration. ETOBRIX 90 CAPSULE is strictly not recommended for use in patients with stomach problems (such as stomach ulcers, bleeding in the gut, or inflammatory bowel diseases). It is also not suitable for use in patients with stroke or any severe form of heart problems, liver problems, or kidney problems.

It is suitable for use in adults and adolescents (aged 16 years or older). Do not take ETOBRIX 90 CAPSULE if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without consulting your doctor. The most common side effects of taking ETOBRIX 90 CAPSULE are stomach pain, bloating, constipation, mouth ulcers. Consult your doctor immediately if any of these side effects worsen.

  • have uncontrollably high blood pressure
  • had stroke (including mini-stroke, transient ischemic attack)
