Introduction About ETERNA 2MG INJECTION

ETERNA 2MG INJECTION is used to provide relief from sensation of nausea and vomiting. It contains a medicine called Ondansetron which is an anti-emetic medicine. It reduces the nausea and vomiting sensation by blocking the vomiting centres of the brain.

Before receiving ETERNA 2MG INJECTION, inform your doctor if you have severe constipation, heart or liver problems, imbalance with the levels of salts in the blood, such as potassium, sodium and magnesium or if you have been scheduled for any surgery.

Consult your doctor before taking ETERNA 2MG INJECTION if you are pregnant or breastfeeding as a precaution.

The most common side effects of receiving ETERNA 2MG INJECTION includes headache, flushing and constipation. Consult your doctor if any of these above symptoms gets worse.

  • ETERNA 2MG INJECTION will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse, into a vein as an intravenous infusion, or into the muscles as intramuscular injection

  • Cardiac agents (Ex. amiodarone) and/or high blood pressure (Ex. atenolol, timolol)
  • cancer medicines (Ex. doxorubicin, daunorubicin, monoclonal, trastuzumab) 
  • Antibiotics (such as erythromycin, ketoconazole)
  • Antidepressants, Sedatives, Anxiolytics (ex. fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline, fluvoxamine, citalopram, venlafaxine, duloxetine escitalopram)
