Introduction About EEECAD 400 CAPSULE

EEECAD 400 CAPSULE contains Tocopherol Acetate (Vitamin E) which belongs to the group of medicines called Vitamins. EEECAD 400 CAPSULE is used as a dietary supplement to manage Vitamin E deficiency and to manage haemolytic anaemia (red blood disorder that occurs due to Vitamin E deficiency), cardiovascular disease & heavy metal poisoning in affected individuals.

The medicine is also used as a dietary supplement to act as an antioxidant (to reduce oxidative stress) and to provide betterment for hair and skin in affected individuals.

EEECAD 400 CAPSULE is not recommended for use in patients allergic to Vitamin E.

Before taking EEECAD 400 CAPSULE, inform your doctor if you have bleeding condition/blood clotting disorder, thrombosis (clot inside a blood vessel), gastrointestinal problems (such as pancreatic dysfunction/bile duct disorders), diabetes, kidney, and/or liver problems.

EEECAD 400 CAPSULE is not recommended for use during pregnancy when used at higher doses. It should be used with caution in pregnant women when indicated for use at recommended doses. It is also not recommended for use in breastfeeding women when used at higher doses and advised to be used with caution in breastfeeding mothers when used at recommended doses.

EEECAD 400 CAPSULE is generally not recommended for use in children and adolescents (aged below 18 years) unless it is clearly necessary. It is advised to be used with caution in elderly patients (aged 65 years/above) after consulting the doctor.

The most common side effects of taking EEECAD 400 CAPSULE are nausea, headache, changes in vision, and/or gastrointestinal upset. Consult your doctor if any of these symptoms worsens.

EEECAD 400 CAPSULE acts as an antioxidant and protect cells from free radicals (compounds that cause damage to the cells resulting in illness & aging process) which initiates antioxidation process in the cells thus managing disease such as cardiovascular disorders in affected individuals.

How to use EEECAD 400 CAPSULE

Take EEECAD 400 CAPSULE as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration for you depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.

Side Effects Of EEECAD 400 CAPSULE

How To Manage Side Effects

Nausea:

Take EEECAD 400 CAPSULE with/just after a meal. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oil rich/spicy foods, sugary snacks and drinks. Avoid drinking too much liquid along with your meals, and drink slowly in between meals. Consult your doctor if the condition worsens.

Headache:

If EEECAD 400 CAPSULE causes headache, then take rest and drink plenty of fluids. Try to avoid drinking alcohol. Ask your doctor to recommend a painkiller. Headaches should usually go away after the first week of taking EEECAD 400 CAPSULE. If it lasts more than a week or becomes severe, then consult and inform your doctor.

Pregnancy

EEECAD 400 CAPSULE is not recommended for use during pregnancy when used at higher doses. It should be used with caution in pregnant women when used at recommended doses. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.

Breastfeeding

EEECAD 400 CAPSULE is not recommended for use in breastfeeding women when used at higher doses. It should be used with caution in breastfeeding mothers when used at recommended doses. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.

Kidney

EEECAD 400 CAPSULE should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.

Liver

EEECAD 400 CAPSULE should be used with caution in patients with liver problems. Consult your doctor before taking the medicine.

Allergy

Do not take EEECAD 400 CAPSULE if you are allergic to Vitamin E, and/or any other ingredients of this medicine.

Others

Before taking EEECAD 400 CAPSULE, inform your doctor if you:

  • have bleeding condition/blood clotting disorder
  • ever had thrombosis (clot inside a blood vessel)
  • suffer from gastrointestinal problems such as pancreatic dysfunction/bile duct disorders
  • have diabetes

Interactions

A. Drug-Drug interactions:

Before taking EEECAD 400 CAPSULE, inform your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicine:

  • oral contraceptives (used for management of pregnancy)
  • Vitamin supplement such as Vitamin A (used for vision, growth, reproduction and immunity), Vitamin K (helps in blood clotting to manage excessive bleeding)
  • anticoagulants (medicines used to manage blood clot) Ex. warfarin

Overdosage:

If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of EEECAD 400 CAPSULE, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose are hypertension (high blood pressure), fatigue, diarrhoea, and/or myopathy (neuromuscular disorder that cause muscle weakness).
