Introduction About DEXOL D CAPSULE

DEXOL D CAPSULE is a combination of Domperidone and Dexrabeprazole which belongs to the group of medicines called Prokinetic Drugs and Proton pump inhibitors respectively. It is used to manage stomach ulcers (gastric or peptic ulcers) and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD; acid reflux causing irritation of food pipe).

It can also be used to reduce the signs of acidity, heartburn, indigestion, burping or bloating. It is typically used among patients who are not responding adequately to therapy with dexrabeprazole alone.

DEXOL D CAPSULE should be taken at least 15-30 minutes before meals. During management with DEXOL D CAPSULE your doctor will closely monitor your kidney functions, liver functions and blood magnesium levels to avoid the risk of unwanted side effects.

Before taking DEXOL D CAPSULE inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have any blockage or tears in the gut or have weak bones.

Uses Of DEXOL D CAPSULE

  • Gastrointestinal Reflux disease (GERD; acid reflux causing irritation of food pipe)
  • Nausea and Vomiting
  • Acidity, Heartburn
  • Signs of indigestion (such as burping, bloating)

How DEXOL D CAPSULE Works

DEXOL D CAPSULE contains two medicines namely domperidone and Dexrabeprazole. Domperidone stimulates the gut and speeds up the movements of food from the stomach into the intestines. This action reduces chances for acid reflux and manages the irritation of food pipe. It also blocks the transmission of nerve signals between the vomiting centers and brain which reduces the onset of nausea and vomiting.

Dexrabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor. It reduces gastric acid secretion which promotes the healing of ulcers and esophageal lesions. It also provides relief from the unpleasant symptoms of the GI tract (such as acidity, bloating, burping and indigestion).

How to use DEXOL D CAPSULE

Take DEXOL D CAPSULE 15-30 minutes before meals or as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
