DERMOTREX GEL contains Methotrexate which belongs to the group of medicines called Antimetabolites. It is used to manage psoriasis. DERMOTREX GEL is also used to manage active rheumatoid arthritis in adults, which is a complex auto-immune disorder resulting in the inflammation of the bones leading to swelling and pain. This medicine may also be used for vitiligo.
Psoriasis is a skin condition characterized by itchy scales that is not responsive to conventional managements such as phototherapy and retinoids. Vitiligo is a skin condition characterized by a loss of pigmentation, resulting in the appearance of discoloured patches on the skin.
Before using DERMOTREX GEL, it is recommended to inform the doctor about your medical and family history, including the list of medicines (prescription, non-prescription medicines, and herbal medicines) that are being used or taken.
DERMOTREX GEL is not recommended to be used by children less than 3 years of age, pregnant women, nursing women, or women planning to get pregnant. Consult your doctor before using the medicine.

DERMOTREX GEL contains methotrexate, which belongs to disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). It also exhibits anti-inflammatory effects, thereby reducing pain, swelling, and redness. As a result, DERMOTREX GEL manages the symptoms associated with rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis.
