DAPTOJUB 350 INJECTION contains Daptomycin which belongs to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used to manage bacterial infections of the skin and soft tissues, blood and tissues covering the heart. It is suitable for use both in adults and in children (aged between 1-17 years).

DAPTOJUB 350 INJECTION should be used under medical supervision. Do not stop receiving this medicine even if you feel better during the midway of the therapy. Failing to complete the full course of the therapy or skipping doses in between the therapy may not result in adequate infection control.

Before receiving DAPTOJUB 350 INJECTION inform your doctor if you have any kidney problems or muscle problems as a precaution. DAPTOJUB 350 INJECTION is generally not recommend for use in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

The most common side effects of receiving DAPTOJUB 350 INJECTION are nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, pain and redness at the site of injection, urinary tract infection, increased fungal infections, anemia, constipation and pain in arms or legs. Inform your doctor if they trouble you.

It is used to manage the following bacterial infections:

  • Skin or soft tissue infections (Ex. cellulitis, erysipelas, impetigo, folliculitis, and furuncles and carbuncles)
  • Blood infections (Ex. sepsis)
  • Pericarditis (infections of tissues surrounding the heart)

DAPTOJUB 350 INJECTION is a powerful antibacterial agent. It kills the susceptible bacteria by disrupting the bacterial cell wall. This manages further bacterial growth and reduces the severity of the infection.

How to use DAPTOJUB 350 INJECTION

DAPTOJUB 350 INJECTION will be given to you only by a doctor or a nurse into the vein (intravenously).

Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and severity of the infection.

Do not miss a dose or stop receiving DAPTOJUB 350 INJECTION without consulting your doctor as it may worsen your condition.

Side Effects Of DAPTOJUB 350 INJECTION

Common

  • fungal infections (such as thrush)
  • urinary tract infection
  • low RBC count in blood (anaemia)
  • headache, dizziness, anxiety, difficulty in sleeping
  • fever, weakness
  • high or low blood pressure
  • constipation, stomach pain, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, bloating
  • abdominal swelling or bloating
  • skin rash or itching
  • injection site reactions (such as pain, redness or itching)
  • arm pain, leg pain
  • higher levels of liver enzymes or creatine phosphokinase (CPK)

  • increase in WBC or platelet count in blood

Diarrhea

Dizziness Or Drowsiness

Try to rest and relax. Get enough sleep. Avoid driving or operating any tools or machines completely if you feel dizzy. Do not consume excessive alcohol, as it could aggravate your dizziness. Consult your doctor if your dizziness worsens.

Headache
