Essential hypertension (also known as primary hypertension) is a medical condition in which the force of the blood exerted against the walls of the artery remains very high and as a result, it may lead to severe damage to the walls of blood vessels supplying various important organs. It occurs without any known secondary cause and if it remains unmanageed it can lead to severe problems such as heart attack, heart or kidney failure, stroke or even blindness.

Along management with CTD O 12.5/20MG TABLET follow lifestyle modifications (such as losing weight, quitting smoking or alcohol intake) as advised by your physician along with a healthy balanced diet and regular physical activity (such as walking or swimming).

How CTD O 12.5/20MG TABLET Works

CTD O 12.5/20MG TABLET effectively reduces elevated blood pressure where olmesartan acts by blocking the actions of Angiotensin – II (a substance that causes narrowing of blood vessels and increases in blood pressure) at the angiotensin type-I receptors of the vascular smooth muscle and chlorthalidone acts by increasing the urinary excretion of sodium and water by inhibiting sodium-chloride reabsorption in the kidneys, thus leading to a marked decrease in blood pressure.
