Introduction About CROTORAX HC 10+0.25 CREAM

CROTORAX HC 10+0.25 CREAM is a combination of Crotamiton and Hydrocortisone which belongs to the group of medicines called Scabicides & Antipruritics and Corticosteroids respectively. It is used in the management of scabies.

Human scabies is a parasitic infestation caused by Sarcoptes scabiei var hominis. The microscopic mite burrows into the skin and lays eggs, eventually triggering a host immune response that leads to intense itching and rash.

Scabies infestation may be complicated by bacterial infection, leading to the development of skin sores that, in turn, may lead to the development of more serious consequences such as septicaemia, heart disease and chronic kidney disease.

During the course of the management your doctor might regularly examine your skin to avoid any untoward side effects.

CROTORAX HC 10+0.25 CREAM is not recommended for use in cold sores, acne, athlete’s foot, broken or infected skin and in children (below 10 years).
