Introduction About CEFITAXE O SYRUP

CEFITAXE O SYRUP is a combination of Cefixime and Ofloxacin which belong to the group of medicines called Antibiotics. It is used in children to manage bacterial infections of the eyes, nose, throat, ears, bone, joints, skin, lungs, digestive tract and urinary tract.

CEFITAXE O SYRUP is also used to manage typhoid fever in children and adolescents, community acquired Pneumonia (lung infection acquired outside the hospital), fever of unknown origin and post-surgical infections.

CEFITAXE O SYRUP is intended for use in children so, contact your doctor before taking it during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It should not be taken with dairy products such as milk, yogurt and calcium- fortified foods such as cereal juices etc. Contact your physician if you experience any unusual side effects or if any of the symptoms deteriorate.

CEFITAXE O SYRUP reduces bacterial infection where cefixime acts by breaking bacterial cell wall and ofloxacin stops bacterial cell multiplication.

How to use CEFITAXE O SYRUP

Take CEFITAXE O SYRUP as advised by your physician. Reconstitute the dry powder with the liquid. Shake well before use. It is better to take CEFITAXE O SYRUP at the same fixed time every day. Try to drink more water as it will keep the kidney hydrated and help CEFITAXE O SYRUP work properly.

Dose and duration of CEFITAXE O SYRUP management will be decided by your physician depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition. Do not stop taking CEFITAXE O SYRUP unless your doctor advises you to stop.

Overdosage:

If you or anyone else accidentally take too much of CEFITAXE O SYRUP, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Symptoms of overdose include diarrhea, abnormal stools, fever, dizziness and decreased appetite.

What if I forget to give a dose of CEFITAXE O SYRUP?

If you forget to give a dose of CEFITAXE O SYRUP to your child, give it as soon as you remember. However, omit the missed dose if it's almost time for the next one. Do not give the medicine two times to make up for the missed dose.
