Introduction About CALCIUM GLUCONATE (LIFE CARE) INJECTION

Calcium Gluconate (Life Care) Injection is used to manage low levels of calcium in the blood (hypocalcemia), it can be beneficial in situations such as acute symptoms of hypocalcemia like tetany and hypoparathyroidism. It contains calcium gluconate as an active ingredient to improve the levels of calcium in the blood.

Calcium gluconate works by rapidly increasing blood calcium levels, addressing conditions such as hypocalcemia or calcium channel blocker toxicity. As a source of supplemental calcium, it helps restore proper functioning of nerves, muscles and the cardiovascular system. It acts as a cofoactor in enzymatic reactions, vital for neurotransmission, muscle contraction and many signal transduction pathways.

Calcium Gluconate (Life Care) Injection will be administered to you only by a doctor or a nurse into the vein as intravenous (IV) injection. It is unlikely to receive an overdose.
